Plot Skating is the most recent addition to the Chalk Sounds catalogue - a series of albums released from the Margate studio of songwriter and producer Simon Lord. This album pulls together elements from across Lord's musical spectrum - as vocalist, guitarist, electronic music producer, and lyricist - to produce a holistic and yet wholly distinctive sound.

Plot Skating is an anthology of musical collages, combining intimate vocals, fingerpicked guitar riffs, and soundscapes of Lord's recently adopted hometown by the sea. The titles of the songs themselves denote poetic intentions - mixing nouns with verbs, the natural with the man made. The result is a collection of beautifully detailed musical musings on poetry, nature and nothing.
